Anti-predator response in fish is adaptation in order to decrease predation risk. This response includes shoaling behavior and increase body depth. In this research, it was interesting to assess behavioural response of hatchery rear silver barbs to predators and hypothesized that the trained juvenile silver barbs (Barbonymus gonionotus) prior to reintroduction when rearing with the predators had the higher survival rate than the juvenile silver barbs. In the laboratory. The juvenile silver barbs from the same origin were divided into two groups and reared for two weeks: 1) rearing with the snakehead fish (Cnanna striata) 2) rearing without the snakehead fish. It was found that the juvenile silver barbs when rearing with the predators had the ration of body depth at anus higher than the fish when rearing without the predators. However when comparing the survical rate of the trained fish and the untrained fish, these was no statistically significant difference between these two groups.en
