dc.description.abstract	งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการศึกษาและค้นหาสมุนไพรผักพื้นบ้านของไทยที่สามารถรับประทานได้สำหรับช่วยในการรักษาและป้องกันภาวะทางเภสัชวิทยาต่าง ๆ ของโรคเบาหวาน โดยทำการศึกษาหาองค์ประกอบทางเคมีการทดสอบฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระ ฤทธิ์ยับยั้งการทำงานของเอนไซม์แอลฟา-กลูโคซิเดส และความเป็นพิษต่อเซลล์ของสารสกัดหยาบเมทานอลและเอทานอลของสมุนไพรผักพื้นบ้านของไทยที่สามารถรับประทาน จากการทดลองพบว่า สมุนไพรผักพื้นบ้าน 8 ชนิดมีปริมาณฟีนอลิกรวมสูงมากกว่า 1000 gGAE.g-1 คือผักแพว ตำลึงหวาน ขี้เหล็ก มะระขี้นก มะม่วงหิมพานต์ ผักติ้ว ผักมันปู และมะตูมแขก นอกจากนี้พบว่า ผักแพว มะม่วงหิมพานต์ ผักมันปู และมะตูมแขก แสดงฤทธิ์ยับยั้งการทำงานของเอนไซม์แอลฟา-กลูโคซิเดส และฤทธิ์ต้านอนุมูลอิสระได้ดีมาก ดีกว่าผักพื้นบ้านชนิดอื่น ๆ รวมทั้งสารสกัดหยาบสมุนไพรผักพื้นบ้านของไทยที่สามารถรับประทานทุกชนิดที่นำมาศึกษาไม่มีความเป็นพิษต่อเซลล์อีกด้วย จากผลการศึกษาคาดว่า ผักแพว มะม่วงหิมพานต์ ผักมันปู และมะตูมแขก น่าจะสามารถที่จะนำไปพัฒนาต่อยอดเป็นยาหรือส่วนประกอบทางยาที่ใช้สำหรับการรักษา และป้องกันภาวะทางเภสัชวิทยาต่าง ๆ ของโรคเบาหวานได้	th_TH

dc.description.abstractalternative	This research is to study and search for Thai local vegetables to help in the treatment and prevention of various pharmacological conditions of diabetes. By studying the chemical composition, antioxidant and anti-alpha-glucosidase activities together with cytotoxicity of methanol and ethanol extracts of Thai local vegetables. From the results it was found that eight Thai local vegetables including Persicaria odorata, Asystasia gangetica, Senna siamea, Momordica charantia, Anacardium occidentale, Cratoxylum formosum, Glochidion wallichianum and Schinus terebinthifolius showed the highest total phenolic content over 1000 gGAE.g-1. In addition, Persicaria odorata, Anacardium occidentale, Glochidion wallichianum and Schinus terebinthifolius showed the highest anti-alphaglucosidase and antioxidant activities. They also showed more active than other Thai local vegetables. Moreover, all Thai local vegetables showed no cytotoxic acitivity against Vero cells. Therefore, the Thai local vegetables especially Persicaria odorata, Anacardium occidentale, Glochidion wallichianum and Schinus terebinthifolius should be able to develop into drugs or pharmaceutical components used for the treatment and prevention of various pharmacological conditions of diabetes.	en
