โครงการวิจัยและพัฒนานี้เป็นการเปรียบเทียบผลการทดสอบ triaxial test ของตัวอย่างดินขนาดเส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 38 mm กับ 50 mm เพื่อหาข้อผิดพลาดที่เกิดจากการใช้ตัวอย่างดินขนาดเล็กเกินไป ฉะนั้นโครงการนี้จะกระทำในห้องปฏิบัติการปฐพีกลศาสตร์ ของภาควิชาวิศวกรรมโยธาเป็นหลัก โดยระเบียบวิธีวิจัยและพัฒนาสามารถแบ่งออกได้เป็นสองส่วนหลัก คือ (i) การพัฒนาเครื่องมือ ซึ่งอุปกรณ์ที่จำเป็นต้องจัดซื้อ คือ triaxial cell สำหรับตัวอย่างดินขนาด 50 mm และ (ii) การทดลอง triaxial test เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลการทอสอบของตัวอย่างดินขนาด 38 mm กับ 50 mm จากผลการทดลอง CIUC พบว่าตัวอย่างดินขนาด 50 mm นั่นมี strength และ stiffness สูงกว่าตัวอย่างดินขนาด 38 mm สูงกว่าตัวอย่างดินขนาด 38 mm ประมาณ 10% และ ตัวอย่างดินขนาด 38 mm แสดง dilative behavior มากกว่า |

This research and development project aims to develop the existing conventional triaxial apparatus to be able to perform a test on lager soil specimen of 50 mm in diameter and compare the obtained results of 38-mm and 50-mm specimens. The results of CIUC tests on two soil specimens of different sizes show that the specimen of 50-mm diameter gives larger strength and stiffness of about 10%, whereas the specimen
